SUMMARY
Receive incoming products, materials and supplies, and maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing in stock. Provide internal product control, and prepare materials for shipping.
QUAILIFICATIONS:
Must have knowledge of operation and maintenance of equipment and hand tools.
Must be able to read and understand drawings and work orders.
Successful completion of all Carte pre-screening, assessments and tests.
Must possess basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, conversions of fractions and decimals.
Must possess good computer skills.
Must be able to be certified as an operator for FORKLIFT and AISLE STACKER.
Must be willing to work in other departments on a temporary basis as assigned by the manager.
Must be available to work all shifts – days, afternoons, midnights (Mandatory).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Complete daily checks on material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections, notify maintenance when repairs are needed.
Utilize lifting devices and carts to locate, move and deliver materials.
Prepare goods for shipment:
Identify, pull, pack, crate, load and secure product.
Assign part numbers, and tag inventory including in-house made parts and missing parts.
Consolidate shipment in designated areas. Ensure packaging requirements are met to eliminate possible damage during transportation. Ensure all documentation is in order.
Document product shipment by recording units shipped.
Receive incoming product:
Match product to packing slip.
Take pictures of damaged product prior to removal from delivery vehicle.
Create Fix form for non-conformance parts and inform buyer. Put non-conformance on quarantine rack withhold tag.
Maintain Inventory:
Identify, label, and place materials and supplies in stock, record location of inventory.
Open materials and supplies and deliver to work centers
Document materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.
Receive credit-return material and supplies from production: verify materials, supplies code, lot number and quantity, and replacing materials in stock.
Perform cycle counts; ensure accuracy based on documentation, scanners and computer systems; tag missing parts; adjust inventory as necessary.
Maintain documentation of parts and supplies in computer system.
Provide internal product control:
Read production orders and system generated picking documents to locate materials and supplies; use sequence and coding to pull and verify materials and deliver to designated workstations.
Stock floor with Kanban hardware and notify buyers when parts are getting low.
Handle internal inquiries and provide assistance in locating materials.
Inform Manager of potential production or material concerns.
Utilize computer to manage inventory, materials and shipments.
Dump plant garbage into appropriate outside bins, notify admin to contact vendor for pickup when full.
Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area.
Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety and health regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Previous knowledge and experience with 5S and Lean Manufacturing considered an asset.
