MAINTENANCE CMMS SPECIALIST

Carte is currently seeking a detailed and organized Maintenance CMMS Specialist to join and support our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting and maintaining our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), which includes Maintenance Change Requests (MCR) and Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM). This person will work as part of an integrated team within the Maintenance Department to develop, manage, maintain and execute specific tasks to sustain and improve the performance of the facilities’ assets.

What You’ll Need to be Successful

  • Completion of a related technical post-secondary diploma, however, work experience may be considered in the absence of a technical diploma.
  • Five years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong Maintenance and Reliability knowledge.
  • Solid understanding of the management of MCR and technologies as applied to Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with attention to detail.
  • Great analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills to coordinate with multidiscipline & cross functional teams.
  • Self-motivated – strong time management and prioritization skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in the use of computer software programs: Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, able to handle rapidly shifting priorities as well as multiple projects concurrently.

What You’ll be Doing:

Maintenance and Reliability Objectives

  • Provide support for execution of MCR’s.
  • Support maintaining of master data for inventory levels.
  • Ensure CMMS asset master data remains up to date.
  • PM optimization to increase productivity and achieve optimal use of personnel.

Measurable End Results and Outcomes

  • Ensure CMMS master data is accurate and up to date.
  • Manage MCR backlog.
  • Ensure accurate spares in stock for efficient execution of maintenance and operation activities.
  • Audit completed MCR work orders and PMs

Primary Responsibilities

  • Administer CMMS program (MaintainX) and associated data bases.
  • Monitor on time completion of work orders and Mean Time To Response (MTTR)
  • Manage work order completion & volume rate
  • Analyze cost & labour trends
  • Track KPIs & Metrics
  • Optimize parts management
  • Track accountability & labour utilization
  • Engage in root cause analysis & continuous improvement
  • Promote, support and adhere to Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) management system.
  • Update/create Maintenance work orders
  • Update/create Maintenance task list.
  • Update/create Maintenance procedures as required.
  • Engage sub-contractors for repair and maintenance for equipment and facilities.
  • Assist with the update/creation of daily Maintenance plan when required.
