CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT MANAGER

Carte International is seeking an independent, experienced and highly motivated Continuous Improvement Project Manager to join its growing team. In this role, you will work with cross-functional team and be responsible for overseeing and managing the successful implementation of changes across our organization. As a key member of the Continuous Improvement team, you will use Lean methodology to identify improvement opportunities to integrate best practices into daily operations and enhance the culture of continuous improvement at Carte.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Collect and analyze data on processes, procedures, performance, schedules, costs, customer satisfaction and cost of quality using evaluation tools.
- Identify and implement key projects, activities and tools that will demonstrate bottom-line impact and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Positions continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility by fostering strong collaboration- includes working effectively with cross functional teams.
- Develop, analyze and improve Lean Management System.
- Executes, and trains others to execute continuous improvement activities such as (Gemba walks, reflection meetings, Kaizen, 5S)
- Trains and coaches teams (Lean 101, root cause analysis, change management)
- Leads and/or supports all phases of project management (initiation, planning, executing, monitoring closing).
- Identify and facilitate process improvement projects, training/ workshops to drive cultural change.
- Identify metrics and key performance indicators to support decisions and gauge the impact of activities on targeted areas for improvement.
- Conduct root cause analysis of process inefficiencies by examining material flow, scheduling, production capacity, constraints.
LEADERSHIP:
- Encourage and demonstrate the need for continuous improvement and the value it provides to an organization.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging teams to identify and implement process enhancements and efficiencies.
- Lead and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong meeting facilitation skills.
- Lead a constructive retrospective session regarding processes, tools, practices and outcomes.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU WILL NEED:
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a project management, change management or related field in a manufacturing environment.
- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) or equivalent education and experience.
- Proficiency is project management tools (SharePoint, Gantt charts).
- Lean certification or knowledge of lean methodologies considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of project/change management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, including experience interpreting data, sometimes with limited context and direction.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Significant experience in meeting facilitation, presentation, conflict resolution and negotiation.
- Effective problem-solver who is results-oriented and able to foster support for change.
- Influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts to reach consensus around common goals.
- Background in manufacturing is preferred.
