Working on-site, the Programmer Analyst will be responsible for preparing documentation on development and analysis projects, writing code in a variety of programming languages, and developing computer programs. You will also support user needs through deployment of software tools and manage version control and licensing. QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, telecommunications, or a related field or equivalent experience is required.
- ERP experience is required.
- Experience working with a variety of coding languages such as RPG ILE, SQL, CL, DDS, or XML.
- SharePoint knowledge is desirable.
- IBM iSeries systems management with knowledge and experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment is desirable.
- Knowledge of IBM WebSphere is desirable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work within the IT department, and with company managers and clients to develop, maintain, and test computer programs.
- Create procedures to effectively design, write, test, debug, troubleshoot, and maintain the source code of computer programs.
- Perform requirements analysis and preparation of workflow charts to determine project expectations for computer capabilities, subject matter, and programming language.
- Provide technical support for computer applications.
- Assist with software installation and testing during project rollouts.
- Assist in project definition, development, and documentation of client requirements, objectives, and deliverables.
- Research, identify, analyze, and fulfill requirements of internal and external program users.
- Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions as needed.
- Monitor ERP server and infrastructure system performance to maintain network health and security.
- Liaise with Managed Services Partner/Vendor to identify, coordinate and deploy corrective action.
- Ensure use of proper incident, problem and change management methodologies, ensuring environmental stability and appropriate prioritization based on severity.
- Data protection with backup, recovery and continuity of operations in disaster scenario (DR).
SKILLS:
- Excellent understanding of coding methods and best practices.
- Ability to interview end-users for insight on software functionality, interface problems, and usability issues.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable regarding client needs and technology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to research software-related issues and products.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Reliable and positive team-player who is adaptable, open minded, enthusiastic, and takes initiative.
- Previous knowledge and experience with 5S and Lean Manufacturing considered an asset.
